World Book Day 2017
We celebrated World Book Day in style this year with a fantastic day of activities themed around reading.
Mrs Beckett launched the day with a whole-school assembly where each class had chance to parade their wonderful costumes. Children then worked in their class families, enjoying a range of activities that included inventing new book characters, going on a scavenger hunt and taking part in our 'Book Swap'. Children from Years 1-6 also took part in a book quiz and one lucky winner from each class won a £5 book voucher!
Thank you to all parents and carers who support our World Book Day in being another success by helping your children put together some fantastic outfits, by donating books for our book swap, and of course by donating £1 towards some new books for our school library. We hope that today inspired everyone's imagination and helped to encourage a new generation of enthusiastic readers.
