Our school plays a key role in community life in the village and surrounding areas.  We work closely with parents and stakeholders to support community events like the Darrington Feast and Fayre where our children take part in the Maypole Dancing.

In the winter we hold a school Christmas craft fayre where our children make crafts with their parents and carers to then sell at the event later that day with all donations going towards school funds.

The school takes part in various fundraising events including Macmillan Coffee Morning, Children in Need and Jeans for Genes.

In partnership with our PTFA the school hosts an Easter event called Bunny Baskets which see's a lot of the community attending.

We also have strong links with the Ackworth Quaker School who provide us with high quality sports coaching including tennis, table tennis and pentathlon sports.
